MATÉRIAUX BLANCHET RESUMES SAWMILL ACTIVITIES

May 1 2020

Improvements in the COVID-19 situation mean that Matériaux Blanchet’s Amos and Saint-Pamphile plants are able to resume sawmill activities beginning May 4, 2020.

Return to work

The employees who were temporarily laid off will be returning to work on May 4. The company would like to thank its workers for supporting Québec by providing an essential service in these difficult times.

Extensive measures

The health of Matériaux Blanchet’s employees and their families is of the utmost importance to the company. To that end, it has implemented extensive prevention measures so that dozens of employees can return to work. A prevention guide will be made available to all employees as soon as possible. Workers will also be able to wear personal protective equipment, such as visors, for additional protection.

Matériaux Blanchet would like to reiterate that the health and safety of everyone—its customers, its team members and their families—is its top priority. The company will be obeying all of the prevention measures established by government authorities. It will continue to uphold these measures as long as necessary.
